Still life with Blueberries

I was peeling cantaloupe when I realized how colorful it was on the plate with it's orange hued reflection. I never know when something is going to inspire me to paint...everyday objects can hold so much color and delight.
This piece will be appearing in the 35th Annual Alaska Watercolor Society Juried Exhibition at Virtu Gallery, 400 W. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska, from September 4, 2009 through September 30. Don Andrews is the show juror, and will present his juror's lecture on August 13th at 7 p.m. at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. |
